At the moment, Psychology’s future is Cognitive Sciences (Neuroscience, Philosophy, Mathematics, Computer Sciences) which means that there is a lot of research around how to create mathematical models using real data to predict cognitive impairments such as Dementia and how we can prevent it. There’s a revelation going on in the field the past few years, but I believe it’s for the best. In Experimental Psychology, which is my area, we were considering evidence and tools from other sciences for decades and they seem to be very helpful!
