I used to work in an Anxiety Disorders clinic and this was fantastic. Working with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other problems where people worry about bad things happening was so interesting. We helped people to consider the thoughts that were driving their fears, work out what things they were doing to cope with their fears, and helped them to test out their ideas and strategies. Often the strategies were unintentionally strengthening their fears. We helped people to face their fears and learn new ideas and ways of coping that helped them to put their fears behind them.

As far as studying, I quite liked neuropsychology, which is the study of how different areas of the brain are influential in different abilities and functions. I prefer the clinical (working with people and helping them to change) side of things though.
