I did 5 A levels:
French, English Language, Psychology, (I was only going to do it at GCSE but was persuaded to do it at A level), Sports Science and General Studies.
I always got good grades in all subjects at school, and I particularly enjoyed French. I thought that I would go on to do French at uni but enjoyed psychology so much that I decided to go for that instead.
I was motivated by doing well and getting good grades, and by really understanding what I was learning about becuase I found it interesting. In sports science, I learned about the body (it felt a lot like a biology A level at times!) I actually didn’t really enjoy English Language that much, but I stuck with it because I didn’t want a bad grade to pull me down.
Get good grades if you can, but if something happens and your A level results are not as good as you hoped, DON’T WORRY, it’s not a disaster. No one really cares about your A level results once you have done your degree (if that’s what you want to do) and have some work experience under your belt. I’d rather be able to say that I have good grades, rather than not so good grades, but it really won’t make toooooo much difference if you can prove yourself to be a valuable employee!
